Villalobos Concrete Leads Major Intersection Upgrade in Highlands Ranch

Villalobos Concrete Leads Major Intersection Upgrade in Highlands Ranch

Villalobos Concrete is proud to play a key role in improving infrastructure at the busy University/Lincoln and Quebec intersection in Highlands Ranch. Beginning this week, our crews will be on-site rebuilding and reconfiguring this critical intersection to enhance traffic flow and safety for the community.

What to Expect

  • Construction Hours: Monday–Friday, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. (weekends as needed).
  • Traffic Impacts: Expect delays, especially between 8:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Lane closures will be in place for crew safety.
  • Alternate Routes Recommended: Wildcat Reserve Parkway, McArthur Ranch Road, I-25, and C-470 can help bypass construction zones.

About the Project

This intersection, originally built over 40 years ago, is getting a much-needed overhaul. Villalobos Concrete is delivering high-quality workmanship to support Douglas County’s efforts in modernizing the area with:

  • A new traffic signal system
  • Additional eastbound and westbound lanes
  • Raised pedestrian safety islands
  • A dedicated right-turn lane from southbound Quebec Street to westbound University Boulevard

Construction is scheduled for completion in fall 2024.

We take pride in building safer, more efficient roads for Colorado. Stay informed on traffic impacts and project updates by visiting Douglas County Public Works.
