November 22, 2022Villalobos Concrete successfully reconstructed 2,000 feet of Castle Pines Parkway, delivering 22,629 SY of concrete pavement while improving traffic flow, safety, and accessibility. Despite six weeks of utility delays, the project was completed on time before winter, saving the city nearly $3 million through value engineering. The roadway was widened to accommodate 6-foot bike lanes and new dedicated turn lanes at Lagae Road, easing congestion and improving school drop-off and pickup. Upgrades included new storm drainage to prevent roadway flooding, ADA-compliant ramps, and modified traffic signals. Careful coordination ensured uninterrupted access to businesses, a school, and a fire station throughout construction.
